About Thomas
Thomas McDonald is a Class of 2028 student-athlete at Mount Olive High School with a 4.36 GPA. A dedicated and disciplined wrestler, Thomas earned a starting varsity role as a sophomore after making the varsity team as a freshman. Competing at 144 pounds, Thomas had a breakout 2025-26 season, capturing the NJSIAA District 5 Championship, finishing as runner-up at the Morris County Tournament, placing 4th in Region 2, and qualifying for the NJSIAA State Championships. Outside of the high school season, Thomas trains with Estebuilt Wrestling Club and has found success in freestyle and Greco-Roman competition, placing 3rd in New Jersey Greco-Roman and 4th in New Jersey Freestyle at 150 pounds. Additional accomplishments include a 5th-place finish at the 2025 Mustang Classic and an 8th-place finish at the New Jersey State Youth Championships as an eighth grader. Known for his strong work ethic, discipline, and commitment to academic excellence, Thomas continues to develop both in the classroom and on the mat as he pursues his goals at the state and national levels.
